ZULU UKHAMBA POT (SOUTH AFRICA) H20 D26
The Ukhamba is a traditional clay vessel of the Zulu people of South Africa, most widely recognised as a beer pot used to brew and serve traditional sorghum beer at ceremonies and family gatherings. Its rounded body and narrow, unglazed rim are the hallmark of this classic form.
This piece stands 20cm tall with a 26cm diameter, making it the smallest of the five Ukhamba sizes in this range we carry. Displayed on its own on a console or sideboard, its earthy tone and simple silhouette bring a grounded, sculptural presence to a room without competing with busier decor nearby.
For a considered African curio display, group this Ukhamba pot with a carved decor mask or stand it beside a Bamileke stool, letting the natural clay tone echo the warmth of hand-carved wood pieces nearby.
