Lidded containers like this one are associated with the Lozi people of Zambia, where vessels of this kind were traditionally used to store household provisions with the added protection of a fitted lid, unlike the open-mouthed pots and vessels found elsewhere in the range.
Sized medium within this two-size Lozi Container range, it suits a side table or shelf where its lid can be lifted to double as functional storage for small items, alongside its role as a decorative curio.
Display it beside its Medium-Large sibling for a matched pair, or near a decor mask for a broader African curio arrangement.
