Catalogued under Ghana, this is a Bolga fan, hand-woven from elephant grass in the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana, a craft long practised by local weavers and traditionally used for cooling and ceremonial fanning. This piece measures 45H 28W cm.
Woven in a tight, radiating pattern with a leather-wrapped handle, it brings warm natural texture and genuine handcraft to a wall or shelf. Its bold, graphic shape makes it a striking addition to a gallery wall grouping.
Pair this Bolga Fan with a decor mask or a Tonga Basket Frame for a textured African curio wall display.
